The New Covenant Interpretation Method

With the arrival of the new covenant comes a new interpretation method of the Bible. Second Corinthians 3:5–6 states, ‘Our qualification comes from God. He has enabled us to be ministers of his new covenant. This is a covenant not of written laws, but of the Spirit. The old written covenant ends in death; but under the new covenant, the Spirit gives life.’ There is a difference between the ‘spirit’ and the ‘letter’ of the law. Since the new covenant began, God encourages us to interpret passages using ‘the spirit of the law,’ meaning that we should apply biblical passages beyond to whom they were written. For instance, many verses in the Bible were written with humans exclusively in mind (Matt 7:12; Luke 6:31). However, using The New Covenant Interpretation Method, our ministry takes passages about treating humans justly (like Matt 7:12 and Luke 6:31) and applies them to animals.
