There Will Be Animals on the New Earth That We Know

The Bible indicates that on the eternal New Earth (Isa 65:17–18), there will be animals we knew from our life on the current cursed earth (Gen 3:14–24). For instance, 1 Cor 15:20–57 implies that animals (including fish) who died on our cursed world will be resurrected on the New Earth, where each animal’s immortal soul will merge with their revived, strong, everlasting body. Romans 8:21–23 also implies that animals who suffered on our current cursed world will be resurrected on the New Earth. Christian author Randy Alcorn commented on Romans 8:21–23, stating, ‘This seems to indicate that on the New Earth, after mankind’s resurrection, animals who once suffered on the old Earth will join God’s children in glorious freedom from death and decay.’ If you have known an animal that has suffered and/or died, Rom 8:18–25 and 1 Cor 15:20–57 indicate that you will see them again on the New Earth. Additionally, Luke 3:6 may indicate that in the coming world, all earthly animals who ever existed and died will be restored in immortal bodies, which would include animals we knew in this life. In conclusion, there will be animals on the New Earth that we know.
