Farm Sanctuary was founded in 1986 to combat the abuses of factory farming and encourage a new awareness and understanding about farm animals. It is the nation’s largest and most effective farm animal rescue and protection organization. They have rescued thousands of animals and cared for them at their sanctuaries in Watkins Glen, New York and Los Angeles, California. They advocate for laws and policies to prevent suffering and promote compassion, and reach out to legislators and businesses to bring about institutional reforms. Best of all they have cabins and tiny houses at the Watkins Glen location you can stay at, so you can plan a vacation there!

Hope Haven Farm Sanctuary is nestled in the North Hills of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Founded in 2011, their mission is to rescue neglected animals that have been surrendered or saved from shelters or factory farms. The animals then live out their lives with comfortable housing, nutritious food, and companionship from others of their own kind. They also receive endless love and affection from the human components of the sanctuary! Hope Haven is a resource to raise public awareness about the plight of animals raised for food and promote a cruelty-free, plant-based lifestyle. They showcase the individuality and personality of farm animals with the hope that people realize these animals are sentient beings deserving of compassion they will make up their own minds to respect life and adopt a cruelty-free lifestyle.
